Fuel & Energy Safety FAQs.
Immediately extinguish smoking materials and open flames, avoid switches and electronics, leave the area, and call Stuck Energy or 911 from a safe location. Do not return until qualified personnel say it is safe.
Do not use a phone inside or near the affected area. Move a safe distance away before calling Stuck Energy, 911, or the fire department.
An interruption in propane service may allow air into the system or indicate that appliance controls need attention. A qualified leak check may be required before service is restored.
Keep the area accessible and free from combustible materials, accumulated debris, heavy vegetation, snow, and anything that could damage or obstruct the equipment.
Use care when clearing access and avoid striking tanks, lines, valves, regulators, vents, or gauges. Do not use machinery or sharp tools close to fuel equipment.
